# Runic Ward When you run out of life, your Runic Ward will kick in, sustaining your body until your life can return. It effectively acts as an extra life pool. Of course, when you take enough damage to run out of that, you will still die. Every single piece of armor in the game can be upgraded by [[Runeforging]], even Uniques.
