The rest of the world believes Oriath was abandoned twenty years ago, after a series of crises forced an evacuation of the populace. The Twilight Order, however, did not flee. They emerged from countless centuries of secrecy to rebuild Oriath's heart, and now they are making plans to reshape the world.

In the wake of the slaying of the Beast, the gods have returned to Wraeclast, and are making civilization impossible. The Twilight Order is dedicated to the cause of freeing mankind from the tyranny of the gods. Their intention is good, but many may not agree with how they plan to meet their goal.
