| Count's Journal | ...I believe in the Twilight Order's supposed cause, I simply don't trust them. Outsiders can never understand the Ezomyte struggle. Our songs and stories go back to the very Winter of the World, when we were but savages clawing grubs from the dirt of what would one day be Ezomyr. We have always fought for survival, for home, for hearth. That is the bloodline I am proud of, stretching back thousands of years. But as I sit in the crimson light of this strange Seed, I wonder if I have made the right choice. That dark being we accosted and strung up at the Twilight Order's behest seemed to be some sort of caretaker for this living oddity. I know nothing of this Seed, and now it rests in the heart of my Manor. Am I the right man for this? Is my bloodline strong enough to contain this abomination? If only I knew for certain... |
