# Corrupted Nexus Several maps with Coalesced Corruption will surround a map indicated as a Corrupted Nexus. The Corrupted Nexus will always contain a Beyond boss. In order to access a Corrupted Nexus, a waystone with at least 4 modifiers must be used. Completing the Corrupted Nexus map will cause all nearby maps with Coalesced Corruption to become [Cleansed](Cleansed) maps instead, causing different monsters to appear. After completing a Corrupted Nexus of an appropriate waystone tier, Doryani will provide you a [[Crystalline Shard]] which can be used to gain points for the Atlas Passive Tree as part of the endgame progression system.
