Warrior: Rekindled Flames, Ancient Totems, and New Defenses

After presenting the improvements to the dexterity classes , Jonathan Rogers focused on the Warrior of Season 3. This class receives a series of major overhauls: new flamboyant skills, revisited shields, reinforced totems and even better management of accuracy and armor.

More impactful fire skills

Since fire was previously considered too weak on the Warrior, several skills have been revised and new ones introduced:

Volcanic Fissure : Now generates multiple rifts, providing much more efficient area clearing.

Forge Hammer (New Skill) : Launches a molten hammer that crashes far away. It can be recalled, or detonated via a Warcry, triggering additional Volcanic Fishers and creating a fiery arena against bosses.

Perfect Strike : Benefits from a much wider area of effect.

Molten Blast : No longer forces forward movement, is smoother to use, and has a significantly increased ignition chance .

Ancestral Cry (new Glory skill) : Charges up by setting enemies on fire, then invokes ancestral power: fire-boosted attacks, such as Volcanic Fissure explosions with each step, and magma balls erupting from hits.

Additionally you will have less movement penalty when your shield is up.

Shields: a reinforced range

Sprinting makes gameplay more dynamic, several shield skills have been revised, plus you will have less movement penalty when your shield is raised.

Shield Charge : Longer cooldown, and increased damage based on distance traveled.

Shield Wall : Expanded area of effect and synergy with Shield Charge, which can now trigger walls.

Fortifying Cry (New Skill) : Grants a defensive buff and charges the shield to strengthen other protection skills.

Magma Barrier : No longer requires precise timing, now just block after the shield is charged.

Seismic Cry : Now stuns enemies “ready to be stunned”.

Sunder: This skill will now also increase the physical damage taken by the target.

Totems: increased power

The Warrior gains a spectacular power boost via his totems:

Ancestral Warrior Totem : Becomes a very powerful skill, requiring 3 stamina charges to summon, but deals massively increased damage and scales with the player's weapons.

New sources of stamina charges : via Perfect Strike and via heavy stuns.

Answered Call : Grants an additional totem, while spirits are generally strengthened. Combined with Limitless Ancestral Warrior , it allows you to raise a veritable army of totems .

Merged the Great Wolf Howl and Warcaller's Ballow supports : all bonuses are now accessible with a single point.

Defenses and playing comfort

Several adjustments aim to improve survivability and fluidity:

Jade Heritage : No longer consumes protection on the first hit, making this buff much more reliable.

Accuracy : Melee Warriors now benefit from an increased hit rate at close range , removing the need to invest heavily in accuracy (ending the nightmare for skills like Bone Shatter).

Armor : Gains the ability to better reduce elemental damage , thanks to new stats available on equipment and in the passive tree .
