Mercenary: Now we're gettin' somewhere! Surely Asala won't mind if we uh, take the caravan?
Monk: Then we know our destination. With any luck, the caravan will take us there.

Farrow: Hmm... That rune is rare indeed. And my tool... It's resonating strangely in its presence.
Farrow: Well, look... I've decided. You should take it. I've a feeling you'll be able to harness its true potential.
Farrow: Well, look... I've decided. You should take it. I've a feeling you'll be able to harness its true potential.

    Farrow on Ezomyte Runes /9
Farrow: Our inscriptions go way back to the beginning of Ezomyte history. Pay no mind to commonfolk babble. They'd have you believe the First Ones bore us from mud and slime. Load of rubbish. I know runic inscriptions like the back of my hand. But of late... I've begun seeing them in the night skies.
Warrior: Not all that is said about the First Ones is meant to be taken so literally.
Witch: Oh dear. I knew you were... unwell. You're seeing things? In the stars?
Sorceress: As in... you're seeing their shape in the constellations?
Ranger: Mind what you say about the First Ones. Maybe they didn't 'bear us from mud and slime,' but they still gave us much to be grateful for.
Huntress: You see their shape in the stars?
Mercenary: How d'ya mean? Like, you see their shape in the stars?

Ranger: Why would you think such a thing?
Farrow: I've seen how tales can grow in the telling. Have you ever seen a First One yourself?
Ranger: Fine, believe what you like – or don't, in this case. But what is this you're saying about runes? You've seen their shape in the stars?
Farrow: That's right. At first I thought I was just enjoying too much faeleaf, but... even abstaining from the pipe didn't change what I saw. Runeshapes, in the stars, clear as the Greatwolf's howl.
Ranger: The Greatwolf's howl shouldn't be different to any other, if what you say about the First Ones is true.
Farrow: Heh. It's a figure of speech, m'lady.

Farrow on Volume One: The Runes of Aldur /4
Farrow: This tome... hmm. {Some} of it is legible to me. 'Volume One: The Runes of Aldur.' 'Within the warm embrace of Aldur's teachings, he, the first Runefather, carved a future for Middengard, to liberate it from the biting frost.' Middengard? This is all... Kalguuran?
Warrior: Does this mean runes may not be of Ezomyte origin?
Sorceress: That would suggest these runes are not Ezomyte at all.
Ranger: So... does this mean runes originate from Kalguur, not Ezomyr?
Huntress: Sure sounds that way, doesn't it? Then... that means these runes {aren't} Ezomyte.
Monk: What does this mean? That the runes are not Ezomyte at all?
Druid: Sounds like ye should've ventured to Kalguur, not Ezomyr.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Witch: Uh oh. Are you about to have an identity crisis?
Mercenary: This uh, doesn't shatter your entire worldview, does it?
Farrow: I did suspect there was more to it. That's why I'm here. But yes, maybe runes are {not} an Ezomyte invention. I need to learn more about this 'Aldur'.
Farrow: I'll study this text further, but yes... that's what this implies. I need to learn more about this 'Aldur'.
Farrow on Volume Four: The Rise of Cadigan /4
Farrow: Ah! Another volume! 'Volume Four: The Rise of Cadigan.' 'The Runefathers' rule was challenged by a claimant heir of Aldur. On his first appeal, his words fell on deaf ears. On his second appeal, he bore weapons instead.' 'Cadigan took his throne as the next true King of Kalguur, and promised glory to all.' 'When red adorned the sky across the sea, fear gripped Middengard once more. Cadigan assembled his finest heroes, armed them with the Triskelion Flame, and sent them to those distant shores.' '"Redeem those lands! Expand our shores! Show every Kalguuran that our prosperity is unending!"' 'And so we sail on to our unknown expedition, with adventure in our hearts and fear in our throats.'
Warrior: Red skies... must've been the Vaal Cataclysm that brought them to Wraeclast. That confirms the Kalguurans were here in truly ancient times.
Monk: What they describe... it sounds like the Vaal Cataclysm. That would suggest the Kalguurans came here a long, {long} time ago.
Witch: So the Vaal Cataclysm brought them to Wraeclast... This Cadigan sounds like quite the over-achiever.
Mercenary: So they sailed {towards} the Cataclysm? At least, I think that's what those red skies are s'posed to be. Ol' King Cadigan doesn't sound too sharp.
Sorceress: This tome must be truly ancient. The red sky they describe can only have been the Vaal Cataclysm.
Ranger: So these fools saw the Vaal Cataclysm on the horizon... and sailed {toward} it?
Huntress: Red sky? Do they mean... the Vaal Cataclysm? But that would mean this tome's a couple o' thousand years old!
Druid: Could those red skies be the Vaal Cataclysm? That would make this expedition o' theirs truly ancient.

    Shadow: [DNT]

    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: That it does. I wonder what became of the Runefathers...
Farrow: That's one way to put it.
Farrow: Well... what a story these tomes have made so far. There's a fair amount to mull over. Some day I'd like to learn more about these adventurers from Kalguur.
    Farrow on Research /4
Farrow: That was impressive. The Verisium in that remnant was mighty powerful. You did well! Now, I've travelled to Ogham because I'm researching the origins of my craft. Some Ezomytes would say runeshapes were simply brought to us by the First Ones... but I reckon there's more to the tale.
Warrior: The First Ones guide our souls... I can't speak to the rest. I admit, I am curious to learn more.
Witch: First Ones this, First Ones that... you Ezomytes are rather dull.
Sorceress: Mmm. There usually is. Just one reason why the Maraketh have tale-women: it helps to separate fact from fiction. Now. What would you have me do?
Ranger: The First Ones gave us many things. Who's to say runes weren't among them? Wouldn't mind knowing the truth myself.
Huntress: Well, only one way to figure out what's real and what's not. What can I do in that regard?
Mercenary: You know what they say: don't believe everythin' you hear. So... where do I fit in to all this?
Monk: Mysteries abound in Ezomyr. How might I assist you in learning the answer?
Druid: Wish I could tell ye one way or the other. Just so happens my memory's not as sharp as it once was. Now... what else d'ye need from me?

    Farrow on Introduction /6
Farrow: Name's Farrow. Some call me Runeseeker. But Farrow'll do fine. I'm far from home. But {these} lands are even more... unwelcoming than I expected.
Warrior: Greetings, Farrow. I wish I could welcome you to Ogham in better times. What brought you here?
Witch: Unwelcoming? Really? The dead seemed quite happy to welcome you. So why {are} you so far from home, Farrow?
Sorceress: This is not unique to Ogham. Wraeclast grows more hostile by the day. Now then... what brings you here, Master Farrow?
Ranger: They weren't always this way. Now what brings you to Ogham?
Huntress: You're not the only one far from home. Hopin' you're here for a happier reason than I am.
Mercenary: Can bloody well say that again. So, what brings you here?
Monk: Yes... a shadow hangs over Ogham, blanketing all that once was. What is your reason for visiting?
Druid: Aye... couldnae have picked a worse time to visit, for you and me both. What brings ye this way, anyway?

Farrow: Runes... inscriptions... etched into remnants from ancient times. For whatever reason, they burn brighter in all this bedlam. Now, a smith I may have been back home, but I'm no clansman. No warrior. Perhaps... we can aid each other.
Warrior: A fellow smith? Heh... I've a feeling we'll get along. So... I do the fighting, you do the finding?
Witch: I take all the risk, you bask in the rewards, I take it?
Ranger: Let me guess: I assume the risk. You reap the rewards.
Sorceress: I will overcome the danger... while you seek your runes?
Huntress: Need someone to watch your back while you go 'runeseeking', as you called it?
Mercenary: Need me to play bodyguard while you go diggin' 'round in the dirt?
Monk: I take it you need protection while you conduct your research.
Druid: Think I know how this goes. I keep the beasties off your back while you find what ye're lookin' for?

Farrow: Hah! No, no. We'll share those in equal parts, of course.
Farrow: That's about right. But you'll also reap rewards from the knowledge we uncover...
    Farrow on Remnants /1
Farrow: Ahh... a formidable inscription. But... we can add to it. Combinations of inscriptions react to the will of the inscriber. Look here. My tome contains many runeshapes. Try your hand at one.
Farrow on The Ruins of Kingsmarch /4
Farrow: It's... unreal to see it like this. When I first laid eyes on Kingsmarch, I felt like I saw my future in front of me. Another new beginning... And now... it's all rubble.
Warrior: Buildings can be rebuilt. It's no reason to give up on your dreams.
Witch: You're annoyingly enthusiastic at the best of times, and well... dare I say, we likely need some of that now.
Sorceress: Kingsmarch has been devastated, yes... but you are still here. Your quest remains the same.
Ranger: You still have your health. We all do. As long as we have that, we have hope.
Huntress: It won't be easy, but all o' this can be rebuilt. Don't give up now.
Mercenary: I won't lie to ya, mate – it's bloody bleak. But we're still here, ain't we? That's gotta count for somethin'.
Monk: It is tragic, undoubtedly. But let the dying embers of old Kingsmarch be the spark which lights a new flame in your heart.
Druid: The folk who built it yet live – as do you, lad. What is destroyed can be rebuilt, so as long as you dinna sink into despair.

Witch: Don't mention it. No, seriously. Speak of my words to no one.
    Farrow on Aldur /1
Farrow: I managed to make out a bit more of that tome we found. Ah yes, here it is. 'Aldur gazed at the pristine stars and there he saw meaning. Those shapes he wrought into our bedrock. His very Will gave the shapes life.' 'And so, we began to know prosperity, and the beginnings of Kalguur was born.' Something to chew on, isn't it?

Farrow on All These Apes /1
Farrow: You heard them? Constant shrieking and hollering. Something tells me they aren't just eating fruit. If you see an ape, might be worth getting ready for a fight.
Farrow on All These Beasts /1
Farrow: It sure is hectic out here... Best keep your wits about you. The beasts are just as rabid as the undead. Corruption sure is a nasty piece of work. Ideally... I'd just stick to studying runeshapes.

Farrow: These 'Lost-Men' are pretty mad about bones eh? The Maraketh don't speak too kindly of them... Dare I say, in this case, I can see why.
Farrow on All These Ezomytes /1
Farrow: I wish I had visited Ogham before all this. It is sad to see my distant fellow Ezomytes suffering this way. But, maybe with your help, they still have a chance.
Farrow on All These Mushrooms /1
Farrow: Not really sure why these runestones are down here. Although, the mushrooms seem to be growing very well. Hmm... wonder if that's related. Runeshapes never cease to surprise!
Farrow on All These Snakes /1
Farrow: Don't... move... too quickly now. Snakes, bugs, and mad apes, and what else? No wonder the Vaal are all bloody well dead!
Farrow on All This Death /1
Farrow: Burials in the sky... leaving unworthy in the sand... it's bloody well brutal, isn't it? I don't know about you but... I'm starting to miss Ezomyr. Oh well. Chin up! Onwards and... upwards, I guess?
Farrow on All This Sand /1
Farrow: Sand as far as the eye can see. Sprinkled with some ruins here and there. This is not my idea of a good time, I must tell you. Hard to imagine the Maraketh have made their home here for untold amounts of time.
Farrow on All This Tribal Warfare /1
Farrow: This lot are right fearsome. Seems the local tribes have been at each other's throats for some time. Strangely... they don't want to come near me. When they catch sight of my tool glowing, they go running. Which... I'm not complaining about.
Farrow on The Verisium Meteor /8
Farrow: That giant thing, lurking in the crater... what even {was} it?
Warrior: Some sort of mutation... a fusion of Corruption and Verisium. Both at their worst.
Witch: The result of some strange cocktail of Corruption and Verisium, I gather.
Sorceress: It seemed an abomination born of both Corruption and Verisium.
Ranger: I don't know. I'm guessing that's what happens when you're hit full force with both Corruption and Verisium.
Huntress: A strange mutation of some sort... one caused by the fusion of {rathin} and Verisium.
Mercenary: Everythin' bad about Corruption and Verisium, rolled into one big ugly beast.
Monk: The entire crater was smothered in Corruption and Verisium both. I imagine that was the reason for its mutations.
Druid: Hard to say. It seemed heavily mutated... likely due to all that Corruption and Verisium.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: Strange. It almost sounds like Verisium and Corruption... combined. Catalysing one another to create whatever {that} was.
Warrior: Yes, it seems that way.
Witch: Perhaps... but I don't really like to think about it.
    Sorceress: Yes. It appears so.
Ranger: I think you might be right.
    Huntress: Aye. Seems that way.
Mercenary: Seems that way, don't it?
Monk: It does seem that way.
Druid: Ach... that's just what we need. More ways for Corruption to make a right mess o' things.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: Not born of the stars... but neither born here. It simply came to be at the moment the comet hit.
Witch: I said I don't want to think about–
Farrow: This is why I continue to believe the mysteries of life may be answered in what we see... above us.
    Witch: {Please} be quiet, Farrow!
Farrow on The Black Knight /7
Farrow: Who the heck was that fellow then?
Warrior: A knight – and he certainly fought like one. He seemed to be protecting a trove of Verisium.
Witch: He was a knight. Brave. Strong. Now dead. He was watching over some Verisium.
Sorceress: A warrior of some skill – though not enough to save him. He appeared to be protecting some Verisium.
Ranger: Someone with an inflated sense of self-worth.
Huntress: How should I know? We didn't exactly exchange pleasantries. He were too busy watching over some Verisium.
Mercenary: Wish I could tell ya, mate. Seemed like a knight of some kind. He was very invested in his collection of Verisium.
Monk: A brave warrior. Though his bravery did not save him in the end. He cared too much for his Verisium.
Druid: A knight o' some sort. Guessin' he was Kalguuran. Mad for his damn Verisium.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: Oh? What makes you say that?
Ranger: Well, he's a knight, isn't he? That's sort of their thing. In any case, he was watching over some Verisium.
Farrow: He was an ancient Kalguuran safeguarding Verisium? Any other clues about him?
Warrior: He was well-runed, and well-equipped.
Witch: The man had enough runes about him to take your breath away.
Sorceress: The place was a treasure trove of runes.
Ranger: He had runes. Lots of them.
Huntress: It weren't just Verisium about. He had a number o' runes as well.
Mercenary: There was a whole boatload o' runes about.
Monk: There were runes. Many of them.
Druid: He had near enough runes to make a man like you weep.

    Templar: Farrow_OnBlackKnight_B2_StrInt4
    Marauder: Farrow_OnBlackKnight_B2_Str4
Farrow: Sounds like someone of significance. Could he have come with the original Expedition? Or... perhaps even earlier?
Farrow on The Rise of Cadigan /11
Farrow: The final tome... it mentioned King Cadigan.
Dannig: Please, I request that we... move on from this particular topic.
    Farrow: What do you mean?
Dannig: I will not be discussing the King at any depth with you. Nor anyone, for that matter.
Farrow: Well... fine. I learned enough to know there's nothing good about him.
Dannig: Farrow... this conversation is now on thin ice.
Farrow: Just tell me one thing... why would he send an expedition here with the Triskelion, if it was his most prized possession?
Dannig: Some believe it was to colonise Wraeclast and thus empower Kalguur... others believe it was for... more personal reasons.
Farrow: And what do {you} believe?
Dannig: I believe... that we are done here.
Warrior: You're lucky you got that far, Farrow.
Witch: The one time I want someone to keep talking... oh well.
Sorceress: It may be best to let this one lie, Master Farrow.
Ranger: You Kalguurans and your King... Give it up, Farrow. He won't move on the matter.
Huntress: Would you look at that? You {almost} got him to say summat.
Mercenary: Trust me, Farrow. He ain't gonna budge on this one.
Monk: I'm sorry, Farrow. The Kalguurans seem quite firm on this matter.
Druid: Honestly, lad, be glad you even got that much out of him.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
    Farrow on The Comet /3
Farrow: Things really never let up around here, do they? First, a potentially world-ending Cataclysmic event... Now, a giant comet crashes down on our doorstep. Dannig claims it's pure Verisium. The waters out there around it... they've gone really mad.
Warrior: Mad? What do you mean?
    Witch: Mad? In what sense?
    Sorceress: Mad? How so?
Ranger: What do you mean, 'gone mad'?
    Huntress: Mad? How so?
    Mercenary: Eh? What d'ya mean?
Monk: I'm not sure what you mean.
Druid: Not sure I catch yer meanin'. How has the water 'gone mad'?
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: Verisium is a mystery I'm still learning more about. But Dannig is certain... the potential of this {particular} Verisium... well, it's unmatched. Whatever {it} is... it's potent. It's powerful.
    Farrow on The Expedition /6
Farrow: It's comforting to hear the Kalguurans talk about firing up their old quest once more. I could see it in Dannig's eyes at the forge before all this... He longed for adventure. To relive that part of his life.
Warrior: I'm glad they have a reason to carry on, if nothing else. If not for their quest, who knows how much harder Dannig might have taken the loss of Kingsmarch?
Witch: Well, it seems he got what he wanted... if not quite how he imagined it.
Sorceress: I saw it too. He was made for adventuring, not running a port town. He is meant for so much more.
Ranger: Careful what you wish for, I guess.
Huntress: Aye. Could tell he wanted to get back out there... only, he didn't know how.
Mercenary: Guessin' this ain't quite how he imagined it.
Monk: Fate works in strange ways. Perhaps the loss of Kingsmarch was the impetus he needed to take up the quest once more.
Druid: A cruel twist o' fate, that this is the manner in which he renews his quest. But there's no changin' the past, so might as well make the most of it.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: That's a nice way of looking at it.
Farrow: I guess he got his answer, didn't he?
Farrow: No, I'd wager not... but then, it never is, is it?
Ranger: Maybe this is their chance to put the disappointment of Kingsmarch's destruction behind them.
    Huntress: I guess he did.
Mercenary: Can say that again. Just gotta roll with the punches, you know? Dust yourself off and get back out there.
    Farrow: Perhaps you're right.
Farrow: I hope, whatever happens, it brings him peace. That's all, really.
    Farrow on Fractured Middengard /7
Farrow: In a further tome I've studied... it mentioned Aldur's death and how it deeply affected Middengard.
Dannig: It threw our people into disarray. Brothers in arms became brothers at war. It was a pitiful time.
Farrow: And the remaining Runefathers sought to fix that?
Dannig: Correct. It's a tale that warms the hearts of all Kalguurans.
Farrow: One other thing... this tome seemed to imply that Verisium wasn't as abundant as the Runefathers had thought.
Dannig: They stripped the land of all the Verisium they could find. That led to... some other unfavourable developments down the line.
    Warrior: That sounds... ominous.
    Witch: That's awfully vague.
Sorceress: You are being vague with me. I do not like that.
    Ranger: Ugh. Typical.
Huntress: That's what happens when you mine the land for all it's worth.
Mercenary: Wouldn't be the first folk to make that mistake.
    Monk: Rather short-sighted of them.
Druid: Whenever mankind delves too deep, it's always nature which pays the price.

    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]

Farrow on The Great Forge /2
Warrior: What do you make of this forge?
    Witch: Well now... any thoughts?
Sorceress: What can we learn from this place?
Ranger: What do you make of this?
Huntress: What d'ya make of all this, then?
Mercenary: So... a gold coin for your thoughts?
Monk: What can we glean from all this?
Druid: Come on then. Let's hear yer thoughts.
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: I suspect some rather bad things happened here. The Kalguurans were far from home... and potentially far from their own values.
    Farrow on Gwennen /1
Farrow: You bloody legend! You did it! The big man hasn't stopped smiling. It's a beautiful sight. You have my thanks, as well.
    Farrow on Gwennen's Disappearance /1
Farrow: I really hope Captain Makoru is right. I've seen how worried Rog has been. Just imagine his conversations with his children at night. Please... help find Gwennen.
    Farrow on Maraketh Values /6
Farrow: The way the Maraketh have treated the Faridun... is it really any surprise they behave like this?
Warrior: The Faridun are not exactly innocent.
Witch: Can't say I wouldn't do the same. But the Faridun don't do themselves any favours.
Sorceress: You speak of the Faridun as though they are innocent. The Maraketh are a proud people. A {strong} people. And that is only because we do not abide the weakness inherent in the Faridun.
Ranger: Seems to me there's fault on both sides.
Huntress: I understand the Faridun wantin' to rise up. What I don't understand is how they choose to go about it.
Mercenary: From where I'm standin', they both deserve each other.
Monk: Perhaps not. But the Faridun are far from innocent.
Druid: The Faridun want respect. They want fair treatment. {That} I understand. But they've crossed many a line in their war against the Maraketh.

    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: So the Maraketh are free to treat them as they please?
    Farrow: That may be true...
Farrow: That's lettin' them off light. There's no justification for the Maraketh's actions.
Farrow: What would you have them do? Revolution is never bloodless.
Farrow: But who cast the first stone? The Maraketh made the Faridun what they are.
Warrior: That's not what I said. All I'm saying is it's not so simple.
Ranger: No, there isn't... just as there's no justification for what the Faridun have done in return.
Huntress: True enough. Still doesn't justify raisin' the dead.
Mercenary: Well, maybe they did. All I'm sayin' is, the Faridun have sunk lower than the Maraketh ever did.
Farrow: True enough. And I can't make sense of either...
Farrow: But treat people like dogs long enough, they're going to bite back.

    Farrow on The Mystics /3
Farrow: A strange lot this bunch. What did they even {do} in here?
Warrior: They seemed like mystics of some kind.
Witch: Whatever they did, it feels imbued with delicious mysticism.
Sorceress: Whatever it was, it was mysterious. It feels... arcane. Brutal.
Ranger: Not sure. I expected something more... scientific.
Huntress: Strange is right. They weren't exactly scientists, that's for sure.
Mercenary: Dunno, but it all seems more... {mystical} than I expected.
Monk: I imagine they were mystics, based on what we see here.

Farrow on The Triskelion Flame /3
Farrow: It's strange really... I didn't fully know what my hands were doing, but Dannig and I worked as if it were almost a well-rehearsed dance. I'm not a pious man, but the whole thing felt almost... guided somehow.
Warrior: Perhaps the Triskelion {itself} guided you.
Witch: The way Dannig talks about it, you'd think the Flame could spin gold from straw. Maybe {it} guided you somehow?
Sorceress: Perhaps, even in its fractured state, the Triskelion was able to influence you.
Ranger: Dannig seems to think the Flame is the most powerful artefact in Kalguuran history. Maybe it used some of that power to, I don't know... inspire you.
Huntress: Spent half of your life studyin' runes, haven't ya? Maybe some o' that study paid off in ways you weren't even aware of.
Mercenary: This Triskelion's s'posed to be dead powerful, right? Well maybe it, you know... {helped} you somehow.
Monk: One need not be pious to recognise there are larger forces at work. Perhaps one such force guided your hand.
Druid: Fate's a curious thing. Mayhap you were fated to reforge the Flame?

Farrow: For all I know, that could be the truth.
    Farrow on What's Next /7
Farrow: The Kalguurans intend to overthrow their king. And I, for one, can't blame them.
Warrior: They intend to overthrow the King? To overthrow Cadigan?
Witch: Finally found the courage to fight back, have they?
Sorceress: It wasn't so long ago that the mention of their king caused them great distress. But now they intend to overthrow him?
Ranger: About time they found their courage.
Huntress: Aye, good on 'em. That bloody tyrant's tormented 'em for too long.
Mercenary: Used to be, they wouldn't even say the bloke's name. Now, they're ready to overthrow 'im!
Monk: They would rise up against their king?
Druid: Nor can I. Only wonder what took 'em so long.

Farrow: Yes. And I've decided... I'll join them. How can I not? An opportunity to see Middengard with my own eyes. I almost feel this choice was made for me, on the very first day we met. And, well... I've got an awful lot to thank you for. So, thank you, truly.
Warrior: You're most welcome. And thank you, Farrow.
Witch: Don't get all gooey on me now. But... you're welcome, I suppose.
Sorceress: You are more than welcome, Master Farrow.
Ranger: Don't mention it. Happy to help a friend.
Huntress: The pleasure's all mine, Farrow.
Mercenary: Well, hey – what are friends for?
    Monk: You are most welcome.
Druid: Aye, lad. And thank you as well.

Ranger: Don't make a big deal of it, or else I'll take it back.
Farrow: Ha! As you wish... friend.
    Farrow on The Runefathers /1
Farrow: I found this section rather interesting in that second tome. 'The Runefathers were Aldur's chosen apprentices. Artisans of runesmithing. They saw to Middengard's every need.' 'The abundance of Verisium in their volcanic ranges meant they would never exhaust their capacity for progress... or so they thought.' Oh boy. It's all going to go bad, isn't it?

Farrow on Runes of Aldur /10
    Farrow: Lord Dannig?
Dannig: Just 'Dannig', if you will. I'm no knight. Far from it.
Farrow: Right. I must enquire... On our adventures, I learned a thing or two about a man named 'Aldur'.
Dannig: Oh you have, have you? Aldur was very important to our history and people, but not really a figure known at all here on Wraeclast. How curious you should learn of him...
Farrow: Did he {really} invent runesmithing as we know it?
Dannig: He certainly did. There is no doubt that we owe everything to him and the original Runefathers. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are today.
Farrow: And I suppose this would have all happened... in the considerable past?
Dannig: Of course. Aldur existed long before Ezomytes even breathed their first breath.
    Farrow: That's... astonishing.
Warrior: It seems you two are getting along quite perfectly.
Witch: Oh no. Now there's two of you.
Sorceress: It seems there's much you can learn from one another.
Ranger: I can't decide which of you seems more enthused by this boring conversation.
Huntress: Well don't you two make a fine pair o' runesmiths?
Mercenary: Must be nice havin' someone else to talk to about all this rune {stuff}.
Monk: Always a welcome sight, to see two like-minded people coming together.
Druid: Pleased to see you lads gettin' along.

    Farrow on Farrow's Tool /2
Warrior: Where did you get that tool you carry?
Witch: What is that toy you keep waving around?
Sorceress: What is this tool you carry, Master Farrow?
Ranger: What is this tool of yours?
Huntress: What's this tool I see you usin'? Seems right useful.
Mercenary: What's that tool you got there?
Monk: This tool you carry – what is it?
Druid: That tool o' yours has come in handy. Where'd ye get it?
    Duelist: [DNT]
    Shadow: [DNT]
    Templar: [DNT]
    Marauder: [DNT]
Farrow: Oh, this old thing? I smithed it myself back home. Quite the tool. I can attune it to the signature of runes and, well... the brighter it glows, the closer they are. Should come in handy for tracking down more of these. And... it has a certain {persuasion} over Verisium that I've yet to fully understand.
Farrow on Tree of Souls /5
Farrow: Who'd have thought this tree would have such hidden secrets?
Warrior: Even those of us in Ogham didn't know the tree's true nature. I suppose this was the source of its power all along.
Witch: Well, they {do} call it the Tree of Souls... though I suppose even the locals were ignorant as to where its power came from.
Sorceress: Yes... though I sensed its power, I knew not where it came from. I suppose we've answered that mystery.
Ranger: Not me – and I have lived my whole life in this wood.
Huntress: Could tell it were no normal tree... Suppose now we know the source of its power.
Mercenary: And here I thought a tree was just a tree! Guess we know what makes this one so special.
Monk: The Tree of Souls holds many a mystery in its branches. It seems we've answered where its power came from.
Druid: They dinnae call it the Tree o' Souls for nothin'... These runes must be the source of its power.

Farrow: To think its power could have gone undetected for so long...
Ranger: We always knew there was {something} special about this tree – we just didn't know what. I guess this was that 'something' all along.
Farrow: Most likely. Though I'm still not entirely sure what {that} is.
Farrow on The Triskelion's Design /5
Farrow: The third tome I found mentions an ultimate design... the Triskelion Flame.
Dannig: That, Farrow... is the very reason we are even here at all.
Farrow: I couldn't quite understand... is the Triskelion a tool for good, or evil?
Dannig: Most importantly, it was a tool for {hope}. A symbol of Aldur's gifts to our people. But... it reminds me of a saying my forebears passed down... 'The Will of the Inscriber may bear love in his heart, but the Will of the User may tear us apart'. Though the Triskelion Flame brought our countrymen together in our time of need... there are those who believe it was used for ill thereafter.
Warrior: The folly of man, hard at work.
Witch: What? How {shocking}. That {never} happens.
Sorceress: Power is nothing if not corrupting.
Ranger: So it's not just Wraeclast that's full of power-hungry halfwits.
    Huntress: Wouldn't exactly surprise me.
    Mercenary: Sounds about right.
Monk: Such is the way of things.
Druid: There's not a powerful artefact out there that hasn't been used for ill by someone.

Farrow on Forging the Triskelion /1
Farrow: There's a little more on the Triskelion Flame here... 'The Runefathers' conquest came from their incredible design. They toiled and poured their Will into the most elegant combination of complex runeshapes that ever existed.' 'But not every Runefather's ambition was sated.' Yes, of course... there's always some greedy bugger who desires more.

Farrow on The Unlikely King /1
Farrow: This portion seems to dig a little deeper into Cadigan... 'Cadigan was not a name anyone knew at the time of his claim, now it is a name we shall never forget.''His persuasion rallied some. Terrified others. The shrieks of the Triskelion Flame during his coronation were reported across the capital.' 'We feared he controlled it. We feared it commanded our obedience. And yet here we stand, aboard creaking ships... the Flame's warmth gently burning to keep us alive.' Wait... what does this mean? The Triskelion's inscriptions... I {must} study them someday!

    Farrow on Vaal Artefacts /3
Farrow: I wonder why the King of Kalguur has such an interest in Vaal artefacts...
Warrior: The rich all have their obsessions, I suppose.
Witch: I've learned not to try to understand the minds of those types. They're much more pleasant without breath in their lungs.
Sorceress: The rich love their idle obsessions. It's not worth the time you'd waste trying to make sense of them.
Ranger: The rich need hobbies. If not, they'd have nothing to distract themselves from what awful people they are.
Huntress: Makes sense to me. Those who hoard wealth will always want more. It's practically a hobby of theirs.
Mercenary: Ah, rich people, eh? Who knows what goes through their minds... Maybe it's a hobby o' his.
Monk: Those who covet riches are not so easily satisfied. To them, amassing wealth is but a game.

'Middengard quickly fractured, and her people fell into unruly despair and violence.' 'To unite them anew, Aldur's Runefathers banded together to smith their greatest and most ambitious design.'
Warrior: I'd give anything to see such artisanship with my own eyes.
Sorceress: Interesting. I wonder what this design might have been?
Witch: Whatever that is, it sounds powerful. I'd quite like to see it.
Druid: Did they now? I'd like to see such a thing.

Farrow on Volume Three: The Triskelion /4
Farrow: A third tome! What do we have this time? 'Volume Three: The Triskelion.' 'To repair their broken unity, the Runefathers forged the Triskelion Flame. A monumental achievement of exquisite craftsmanship.' 'The Runefather's toured Middengard with their creation. It demanded hope. It whispered a promise. It healed the people's aching hearts left in the absence of Aldur.' 'The Triskelion was returned to the capital, where the Runefathers kept it, as a bastion of harmony for all Middengard.'
Warrior: Incredible. Imagine inspiring an entire continent with work of the forge.
Sorceress: It must have been truly special, to be able to do all that they said it could.
Witch: It 'demanded' hope? Sounds like a bit of a threat.
Huntress: 'Healed the people's achin' hearts'? How could it do all that?
Mercenary: It 'whispered a promise'? What {are} they on about?
Ranger: Hard to believe it could really do all they said it could.

Ranger: I've heard bits and pieces about Ezomyr, but I'd like to hear it from someone who lived there.
Witch: What befell Ezomyr? You make it sound like a wasteland.
Sorceress: The way you describe Ezoymr, it sounds like a sad shadow of its former self.
Huntress: You said there's not much of Ezomyr left. What happened to it?
Mercenary: Sounds like Ezomyr's seen better days. What happened?
Monk: You mentioned Ezomyr is all but gone. Can you explain?
Druid: Spent plenty o' time in Ezomyr myself. Once was, I was known as a Druid of Skothe.

Farrow: I suppose you would have, growing up in Phaaryl! Well now... where to begin?
Farrow: Ah, yes! I've heard of your kind. Though... I gather things didn't end well for your people. My condolences.
Druid: The past is the past. And Skothe's not unique in that regard. From what I hear, they had it even worse in certain parts of Ezomyr.
Farrow: You don't need to tell me. I'm from Skothe myself.
Farrow: Our current thane, Dermon, is a good man. Keeps us out of trouble, for the most part. But of late, well... {the world's turning ill.} Just look around us. The Isles are no longer a pristine sanctuary.
Farrow: Ezomyr stretches a great distance. And yet... many of the clans are scattered, dead, or otherwise unknown. It's a far cry from what we once were. Where I'm from, the Isles of Skothe... well, we've done alright.

Ranger: I've heard bits and pieces about Ezomyr, but I'd like to hear it from someone who lived there.
