    우나'포식자'도 우리의 귀한 땅을 감염시킨 병에 희생됐을 뿐이에요. 오검에는 무시무시하고 위험한 짐승이 많죠... 하지만 원래 이렇진 않았어요. 흙과 물, 공기 속의 감염이 동물들을 변화시키고 있어요. {전부} 다요. 그처럼 훌륭한 생물이 쓰러지다니 슬픈 일이에요... 하지만 전과는 전혀 다른 존재였으니, 불가피한 일이었겠죠.
    렌리유난히 어두운 힘을 지닌 야수가 펠링에서 우릴 따라다녔네. 흙 아래에서 눈에 띄지 않게 움직이면서 예고 없이 우릴 공격했지. 우린 식량을 찾아 거처 밖으로 나갈 수도 없었고, 나도 그 야수를 막다른 곳에 몰아넣고 처치할 수가 없었네. 자네의 폭력적인 힘으로 핀이 '포식자'라 부르는 야수를 처치해 준다면, 정말 큰 빚을 졌다고 생각하겠네.
    포식자의 소굴에서 놈을 죽였다고요? 엄청나게 용감하네요, 영웅님. 덕분에 이제 그나마 굶어 죽진 않겠어요! 죽을 방법이 하나 줄어든 셈이네요.
